What do we see in this poster?
“Yellow Orchid” shows a close-up of the flower of the same name. The photographer did not focus on the entire plant, but only on the center of the flower. Here we see a great play of colors that only our nature can produce. Inside, the leaves of the plant are bathed in a bright yellow that slowly fades into orange, with the outer areas shining in a soft white. In the center of the flower you can see an orange structure covered in red dots. Red lines extend to the left and right sides, almost looking like angel wings. The artwork is primarily white. This “color” is often unpleasant for the eyes, especially on large surfaces, but the flowers make the transmitted light appear diffuse and thus take away its dazzling character. Because of the large proportion of white, the viewer's eye is drawn directly to the warm colors and the hypnotizing details of the orchid.
Where can this poster hang?
A poster of the artwork “Yellow Orchid” fuses the natural beauty of the blossom with an ethereal radiance created by the soft diffused light that shines through the blossoms. The mural has a calming aura and should be hung in places where people can benefit from it, such as a waiting room but also a break room.
